Irish Community Organization?
Would your community like to have a website but do not have the know-how to build a website or finances to pay a web designer?
Our Ireland might be able to help. You can apply to Our Ireland for a Network website. Acceptance of a group will be based on the text content that you provide (and how many groups have already applied). To register your interest in getting a Network site for your community/group email me at peter@our-ireland.com.
If your submission is well written and informative your group will be accepted and we'll build you a 4 page information website, with a unique domain name, hosting and two email addresses for almost free of charge...
ALMOST Free Of Charge?
Our Ireland are providing the websites for ALMOST free of charge. An inital setup fee of €200 will apply for the first year and an annual fee of €60 every year after that. If your group can not pay the initial set-up fee but your text is informative we will reduce or wave the fee for set-up.
Why so cheap?
Our Ireland's goal is to help to develop a strong and cohesive online Irish community worldwide. That includes Irish and Irish decent communities from every region in Ireland to the USA, Australia, UK, Japan, South Africa, France, Holland...and so on.
Lot's of Irish communities (and groups) do not have websites. This reduces our ability to become informed of how our communities opperate and how they can benefit from knowing about eachother and sharing information. That's why we came up with the Network idea.
Our Ireland is a 'hobby' site. That is, it's not our day jobs (Josephine and I). We're hoping the ads on the network sites will offset some of the expense of building the sites. The €60 annaul fee is as cheap as most website owners can expect to pay for a domain name an hosting per year, so we thought that was fair.
How To Apply
Simply email me at peter@our-ireland.com stating that you want to register your interest in getting a Network website for your community or group/club. I'll get back to you via email and we can take it from there.
What To Supply
You'll need to supply a content package that includes;
- text content about your organization's setup and history
- Your mission/goals
- General activities
- location and contact details
- some digital images
Register Your Groups Interest Today
Don't send a content package just yet; remember this is an application process so for now just register your groups interest in the scheme, email peter@our-ireland.com. Obviously we can only handle a small amount of Network websites at a time so those who apply first will be considered first.
We believe this is a really easy and cheap way to get information online about Irish communities and groups from all around the world. When a new Network site is added we'll post information about it on the home page and editors notes page of Our Ireland. Those of you on our mailing list will be notified via email.
